The difference between the VIES report displayed in Balabook and the XML file generated for submission to the Cyprus Tax Department is due to the treatment of negative amounts.
According to the Cyprus government submission requirements, negative amounts are not accepted in the XML file format. Therefore, when a customer or supplier has a negative amount in the VIES report within Balabook, the corresponding value in the generated XML file will appear as 0 instead of a negative figure.
For this reason, differences may exist between the VIES report shown in the system and the XML file prepared for official submission.
