- You can archive accounts in your chart of accounts that you no longer need.
- You cannot delete an account in your chart of accounts.
- Archiving an account does not affect existing transactions. You will still see the archived account on reports in periods where transactions exist, however, you won't be able to categorize new transactions to the account.
To Archive an Account:
- On the left-side menu, click Accountant > Chart of Accounts.
- Locate the account.
- On the far right of the account, click the Actions button.
- Select the Archive choice.
- Click 'Save'.
To Restore an Account:
- On the left-side menu, click Accountant> Chart of Accounts.
- On the top right button select the View Archived option
- Locate the account.
- On the far right of the account, click the Actions button.
- Select the Unarchive button.
- Click 'Save'.
