How to Add a New Account or Category

This process allows you to create a new account or category to accurately classify your financial transactions. You can specify the account type, name, and currency to ensure it aligns with your accounting structure and reporting needs.

  1. From the left-side menu, go to Accountant > Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click the 'New Account' button at the top right
  3. From the dropdown, choose the appropriate Account Type (e.g. Liability, Expense, Asset) and Category (e.g.Trade receivables,Cost of Sales ,other financial liabilities)
  4. Enter the account name, currency, and account code. You can also add a description to provide more context or clarify the purpose of the account.
  5. Click 'Save' to add the account.
