How to Edit an Account in Your Chart of Accounts

The Chart of Accounts is a structured list of all the accounts used to record a company’s financial transactions, organized by categories such as assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.

- For the created accounts, it’s not possible to edit the account type or currency.

- If you accidentally create an account under the wrong type or currency , create a new account under the correct type. Move any transactions over, if applicable. Once complete, you can archive the old account.

  1. On the left-side menu, click Accountant > Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account.
  3. At the far right of the account, click the 'Actions' button and click 'Edit'.
  4. Edit the details.
  5. Click 'Save'.
