How to Scan and Upload Your Receipts

The receipts scan feature allows you to capture and upload images of receipts on the mobile app, upload receipt files in your web browser, and forward your digital receipts via email. Each receipt you upload automatically creates a corresponding expense transaction in your accounting.

- The AI-Driven Expenses Management feature is available with a subscription to the Growth Plan or Accountant Plan.

- To manage receipts without the receipts scan feature, you can Add or delete an attachment on a transaction.

- You can upload up to 1 file at a time in JPG, GIF, PNG or PDF formats. Each file can be up to 5MB in size.

Scan and Upload a Receipt in your Web Browser:

  1. On the left side menu, go to Purchases > Expenses.
  2. On the upper right corner press the 'Upload receipt' button.
  3. Select the account that was paid through.
  4. Drop you receipt in the box or navigate thought your browser to upload it.
  5. Once the image is uploaded successfully, An expense transaction is created automatically on your expenses page.
  6. To verify the information is correct, or to add or edit any details, tap on the receipt. You can edit the date, amount, account, and category, and add notes. Once you have verified the transaction details, you can mark the receipt as reviewed by tapping the 'Mark as reviewed' button.
